REGISTRATION TO OPEN MONDAY, APRIL 17, FOR MAY TOURS

Source: Port of Long Beach

Beginning in May, the Port of Long Beach will once again host free harbor tours, offering the public a chance to visit the sights and sounds of the nation’s largest seaport complex.

Join one of the 90-minute narrated excursions and learn more about how the Port of Long Beach impacts you and the local, regional and national economies, get close to some of the biggest ships in the world, learn about the Port’s drive to zero-emissions operations, and take pictures of amazing machinery and local marine life.

Register online anytime from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Monday, April 17, for the opportunity to receive a free harbor tour at the Port of Long Beach in May.

The Port uses an online lottery sign-up system for reservations. Reservations will open on the third Monday of the month for tours the following month. The online reservation system provides a 12-hour window to register via computer or mobile device for an available tour the next month. A random drawing will select participants for each tour and within five business days, you will receive confirmation of your reservation or notification that you are on a waiting list. You may reserve up to 4 seats; for larger groups, consult the FAQs.

Tours are generally scheduled four times a month, twice on Saturday mornings and twice on Wednesday evenings. Tours this year will be held May through August. Check the tour page for the full schedule.

Reservations are required for the tours that are held on two Wednesdays a month at 6:30 p.m. and two Saturdays a month at 10 a.m. Note that times for all tours and the day of evening tours have changed from the 2022 schedule. You can find more information on the tour registration form.

Visit polb.com/porttours for more information and to make reservations on April 17.
